For the most part, we don’t know one another, so some element of trust must be offered on both sides. However, because my work is very detailed and time consuming, I must make sure that I am compensated for my efforts.
You will have ample opportunity to review the style and quality of my work, and to therefore judge whether or not you feel that I am the right artist for the portrait you wish to have created.
On the other hand, as the artist, I must look at my source material, the photo, and determine if it provides me with enough detail to return to you an appropriate image of your pet.
As such, I think the payment schedule I’ve worked out is fair to both sides.
I cannot at present accept credit cards, so upon receipt of your order, your photographs, and a 25% deposit (cheque or money order, don’t send cash!) I will start on your portrait.
After I have completed the portrait, I will send a photograph of it to you along with a bill for the final 75% plus delivery costs, along with an acceptance form. Once I have received this acceptance form and the final payment the portrait will be shipped to you via UPS or FEDEX.
Please be aware that shipping costs are not included in the price but will be added to the final bill.
