Why a portrait?

Many people have Cats or dogs, some have both.

They are part of your family, just as children, mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles are.

Everyone has photos of the members of the family, but few have individual photographs of their pet.

Even those that do, probably don’t realise, that photographs, like memories can fade.

Enlargements of photographs can reduce the detail.

A portrait takes the image from a photograph, and by clever use of the magic given to an artist, can allow the enlargement be made without loss of detail, or colour, and onto a medium that is more permanent.

A portrait can be proudly displayed in any place you desire, and can be seen from a distance.

How many times have you seen a painting and thought, “that’s so real”? How many times have you said that about a photograph?
